Welcome to the Hawaii Club at MIT!
The MIT Hawaii Club is made up of a diverse group of people whose goal is to spread the Aloha Spirit 5000 miles from home. We are mostly undergradute students, with a handful of graduates, from Hawai‘i, but no one is excluded from the Hawaii Club--anyone who wants to become a member can join!
The purpose of the club is to give students with an interest in Hawai‘i an opportunity to experience traditional and contemporary Hawaiian dance, food, culture, and language. Being thousands of miles away from family and friends is extremely difficult, but the MIT Hawaii Club provides students with the 'ohana (family), support, advice, and friendship of the older, "wiser" MIT students.
We’re here as a resource for our members. There are a lot of events and mixers that are held throughout the academic year. If you’re interested in learning more about the Hawaiian culture and our beautiful islands, contact us for more information, or go the events page to find out when our next club meeting will be!
